Beef Loin Tenderloin Steak Filet Mignon

Beef Loin Tenderloin Steak Filet Mignon
Beef Loin Tenderloin Steak or Filet Mignon is a prime cut of meat. It comes from the back rib cage of the beef ...is very tender and usually can be cut with a fork.

When prepared on a BBQ grill, and served up, it can go down the hatch very smoothly.  'Tis not very cheap, but it's a lot cheaper than going to a restaurant and paying them to cook it for you.

Preparation before grilling is almost nil.  You can add a little Rub or spice but it's not a neccessity.

Fire up the barbie and take the meat out of the fridge and set on the counter while the grill gets up to a high temperature..475 or 500 degrees. Maybe no hotter.

Filet Mignon are usually very thick cuts of meat and you may not be happy with just searing them..they might not be done enough and burnt on the outside.

I usually allow 5 minutes a side for cooking time...this usually gets you to rare. Also, I shut the hood while they are grilling.  Don't be poking holes in them to see if they are done!!!
